Design Review
Provided project design review services and Landlord coordination for the retrofit and fit out of an existing retail space on the Upper West Side into Birch Coffee's third location. Entrepreneurs Jeremy and Paul selected the location of their third store to be in Uptown at 750 Columbus and set forth with the challenging task of negotiating the lease with the landlord, designing and fitting out a store that reflected their unique and classic brand identity. Reconfiguring the tricky, column-laden 1,200 sf space and repurposing as much of the existing interiors, mechanical, electrical and plumbing to create the right atmosphere for their guests and work within a budget was paramount. work.shop assisted the team by performing design review, base building systems tie-in review and coordination, construction lease exhibit conformance and conflict resolution during the design stages to accelerate the leasing process and save the project over 4x's the value of our fees.
